Prepare a 15 second “elevator pitch” about yourself - who you are, where you’re from, your major OR stage of your career, and what you’re interested in (Example: My name is Asia Green, I’m from Atlanta, I’m a junior at Howard U with a major in Journalism. I aspire to be an editor for Essence one day)
Brush up your resume and make sure it includes any relevant experience

About Us
We're on a mission to empower and inspire women of color to embrace their purpose, one day at a time.
What Is It?
Created to empower and inspire brown girls everywhere, BrownGirlsLove is a digital & live events platform with the goal of providing resources, inspiration and empowerment to budding young professionals. Since 2015, our annual Power Day event has featured a combination of workshops, panels and breakout sessions about branding, finance, entrepreneurship, self-care and more from powerful women of color who have mastered the art of building a brand and conquering their careers.
Who Is It For?
Our community is for professional women of color interested in personal branding and entrepreneurship. We serve rising juniors and seniors in college, recent college grads and women transitioning into entrepreneurship. Our community includes seasoned corporate professionals as well as startup founders - all passionate women of color pursuing what they love.

Digital content creator and communications strategist Christina S. Brown is a New York native and the founder of self-esteem platform LoveBrownSugar.com and digital empowerment community BrownGirlsLove. Recognized everywhere from Forbes to Teen Vogue, Christina curates platforms for multicultural women with an emphasis on self-empowerment. She founded BrownGirlsLove after seeing a need to promote positive images of women of color, and to inspire them through real-talk and live connection.
